Witnesses are often willing to provide information that will
support your claim. Simply ask witnesses for their details and
record them on the RAM's 5 step guide form.

NOTE: If a Police Officer attends the scene, record his/her name, number, station and telephone number.

Using RAM's easy to follow form, complete as much information as possible about the other driver involved. If the driver is not the owner of the vehicle, you will need to obtain the owner’s name, address and telephone number as well, if possible..

Most mobile phones have a camera and the camera never lies, so photograph road layouts, driver’s view on approach, road signs and other road markings, position of vehicles, obstructions, damage to vehicles, skid marks, registration plates etc. The more details you have the better..
